Coming towards an end of a four month tour of the United States, Bulgarian folk all-stars Kabile will play a night of energetic and virtuosic village music from Bulgarian Thrace and beyond. The ensemble is a classic ‘Bitov’ ensemble of accordion, kaval (open-bored flute), gajda (bagpipe), tupan (drum) and the beautiful voice of Donka Koleneva. A rare chance to see this kind of music in the US, let alone in Maine! Balkan duo Cinder Conk opens the night with a focus on Bulgarian dance music. 7pm, tix $10
