Choro Louco is dedicated the century-old tradition of Brazilian Choro music. Choro Louco’s beautiful melodies, complex harmonies, and syncopated rhythms combine elements of European folk and classical, ragtime, jazz, Latin, and African music into a style that is uniquely Brazilian. Band members Carl Dimow, Nicole Rabata, Joel Eckhaus, David Newsam, and Eric LaPerna are all driven by a love of the music and dedication to learning this unique style.
Part of MSA’s International Heritage Series. Based on the idea that music is inherent to strengthening community in cultures around the world, the series will celebrate regional music and dance traditions.
