This October, Tophat Productions brings back the gothic musical thriller, “JEKYLL & HYDE”, based on the famous novella “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” by Robert Louis Stevenson. With a powerful musical-pop score, see Frank Wildhorn’s musical masterpiece as you have never seen it before.

Performed entirely by classically trained opera singer David Worobec, this one-man toy theater production will amaze you as David sings and recites lines for every character, as well as manipulates the puppets on a meticulously detailed tiny theater stage!

David is Portland, Maine’s premier expert and practitioner of the art of miniature theater. Highly popular in the late-18th and 19th centuries, miniature theater delivers visually-stunning renditions of popular stage shows on a micro scale. Shows take place within the confines of a tiny stage, just a couple of feet tall, complete with curtains, sophisticated lighting, and impeccably detailed props and stage sets. Everything, including dialogue, stage movements, and musical numbers are performed live, in real time. The result: a visual and auditory marvel that is well worth an evening out.

Show runs through October 3 – November 23, 2019

Opening Reception October 3 from 6-8pm.
