POETS THEATER OF MAINE is a theater company dedicated to lyrical, mythical theater and a collaborative creative process.
ASSOCIATED ARTISTS
Annie Finch has published numerous books of poetry and poetics. Her music, dance, art, and opera collaborations have appeared at American Opera Projects, Chicago Cultural Center, Spoleto Festival, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Carnegie Hall. She is Director of the Stonecoast MFA program at the University of Southern Maine.
Assunta Kent has directed numerous productions including most recently the Hindu play “Shakuntala” and the Inuit story “Inook and the Sun.” She has also published theater reviews and criticism. She holds a PhD in Drama and Theater from Northwestern University and is currently Associate Professor of Theater at the University of Southern Maine.
