BIG NEWS! MSA is midway through the process of planning a mural for the exterior of our building! We are working with artist Alexis Iammarino, who specializes in making public art through collaboration and has created several community-based murals with youth and adults in Midcoast Maine.
Last summer, as several of you know, Alexis held a Listening Session to gain feedback and ideas from students in our summer program. Today, we are opening up our Listening Session to you! This process allows for your thoughts, ideas, and perceptions to inform the creation of the mural. Ideally, this process would take place in person, at MSA, but for the safety of all, we’ve made it possible for you to participate from home. Click hereto complete the Listening Session survey by Friday, May 22.
MSA has never had a mural on its exterior and we believe this will be one of many important steps that will help improve accessibility and inclusivity in our programs. The mural is part of a larger accessibility project making our center open to people of all languages and abilities. Thank you for taking the time to be part of this project and helping to keep MSA a vibrant and welcoming place!
