In January and February the gallery will host two exhibits with works by Richard Wilson, Michel Droge, Shannon Rankin, Justin Richel, Noriko Sakanishi, William Manning, Christopher Patch, and others.
The exhibits will be curated by June Fitzpatrick, former owner of June Fitzpatrick Galleries on High Street and Congress Street in Portland. The first show will run from January 1 – 29, 2021. The second show opens February 5 – 26, 2021.
As former owner of June Fitzpatrick Galleries on High Street and Congress Street in Portland, Guest Curator June Fitzpatrick is a legendary gallerist, mentor, and art curator. June was recognized by the Maine College of Art at the time of her retirement with an honorary Doctorate of Arts for her outstanding contributions to the art world.
“The MSA Pop-Up is a way to keep our spirits up during the days ahead” said Mayo Street Arts Executive Director Blainor McGough. “Even during tough times, art brings joy and meaning to our lives.”
Artwork from the exhibitions will also be available online for viewing and purchase in our online gallery HERE.
Please know that we strictly follow the CDC guidelines for the State of Maine including limiting the number of people in the gallery at any one time to 5, respectfully require the wearing of masks (which we can provide if you don’t have one), and appropriate social distancing.
Come by and support some local artists, MSA, and say hello!
