Announcing Ian Bannon as MSA’s Next Executive Director

Ian Bannon will lead Mayo Street Arts as the organization’s new Executive Director.

Mayo Street Arts’ Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that Ian Bannon will succeed Blainor McGough as the next Executive Director of Mayo Street Arts starting on May 1, 2021.

Ian comes to MSA with unique experience in nonprofit arts leadership, childhood education, and as a performing artist and puppeteer. He has worked as the Managing Director at Celebration Barn Theater in South Paris, ME, and as Director of Education at Figures of Speech Theatre in Freeport, ME. He brings experience working with diverse groups as a PK-12 teaching artist and has performed and taught puppetry in all sixteen of Maine’s counties (and beyond!). Ian has been involved with MSA over the years as an event volunteer and performer, and has made a positive contribution as a part time Program Manager since February 2021.

The entire MSA team is extremely excited and humbled that Ian will bring his gifted leadership, wealth of knowledge, and enthusiasm to lead MSA. During the coming weeks, we very much look forward to introducing Ian to the broader MSA community. Please join us in welcoming Ian to this new position!
