Highlights from “A Message From Far Away”

Our parade for A Message From Far Away may have been rained out, but that didn’t stop us from throwing a wild welcome rally to get folks pumped up for Live with Little Amal!

Ideal Maine Social Aid & Sanctuary Band made sure that every minute was filled with music and friends from The Love Factory never stopped dancing.

Flocks of tiny bird puppets took flight under the guidance of Bridget McAlonan and Teagan Moon, while our 6-foot bird puppets made by The Root Cellar summer campers with help from Dylan Rohman brought color to our backdrop of rolling ocean fog.

Many thanks to Titi de Baccarat for serving as our Grand Marshal and for bringing unmatched energy that was surely felt all the way in Turkey.

And of course, many thanks to our co-sponsor, The Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center, and our friends at The Remote Theater Project, Portland Ovations, and Creative Portland for working with us to bring this one-of-a-kind event to Portland.

Safe travels, Little Amal! Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your journey. Check out some photos from the event below!
