About Us
Mayo Street Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit music and arts center housed in the former St. Ansgar’s Church at 10 Mayo Street in Portland Maine.
Mayo Street Arts seeks to strengthen the arts community of greater Portland by offering a vibrant visual and performing arts center, a place to engage youths, and an inspiring space for artists and performers.
Current programs include monthly art exhibitions and literary gatherings, weekly music and dance performances, and affordable studio space rentals for artists, dancers, performers, and community groups.
MSA is currently seeking to add after school arts programs for neighborhood youths.
Executive Director:
Blainor McGough is a visual and performing artist with a zeal for planning and promoting creative performances of all kinds. A Portland native, Blainor is a long time contributor to local arts organizations The Children’s Museum and Theater of Maine, St. Lawrence Arts, June Fitzpatrick Gallery, Shoestring Theater, and WMPG community radio.
