Call for Performers: King Friday’s Dungeon Puppet Slam Spring 2024

King Friday’s Dungeon Puppet Slam is an opportunity for emerging or experienced puppeteers, visual, and physical artists to present works-in-progress to a receptive audience. There is a $75 honorarium for each act.
The slam consists of 8-14 puppets skits that dance outside of the family-friendly mainstream puppet circuit, with live music from the Ideal Maine Social Aid & Sanctuary Band. Any genre of puppetry is welcome. Past acts range from crankies, cantastoria, toy theater, and mask work to object, shadow, hand, rod, marionette, direct manipulation puppetry, and beyond.
