The Performing Arts and Culture Series 2009-2013
The Performing Arts and Culture Series highlights the artistic and cultural diversity of performing artists of greater Portland while building community in the Kennedy Park/East Bayside Neighborhood. A number of complimentary tickets to performances are distributed to neighborhood immigrant families to help build neighborhood community through the arts. Performances range from African dance and poetry, to classical Arabic music, to Sicilian puppetry. Performing groups selected for the series receive increased promotion, recognition, and additional artist fees.
